Originating from Calabria but cultivated with expertise in Grassoise basin for three centuries, bergamot represents archetype of hesperidian freshness in perfumery. Its cold-extracted essential oil reveals complex bouquet with vivid citrus notes, subtle florals and gentle sweet spices. At Grasse Atelier, we master its use alternately as brilliant opening note (Ombre d'Hespérides) or balancing accord complementing amber or woody bases.

Very used as top note, bergamot brings freshness, brilliance and balance to fragrant compositions. With our minimum concentrations of 20%, even these volatile citrus notes persist longer than expected — up to 6-8 hours thanks expert fixing technique developed by Carole Poinsot.
